Fode Ballo-Toure is expected to make his first start of the season for AC Milan after the break, as the Rossoneri will take on Empoli. The Senegalese international will have to price important guarantees.
Since joining the club, Ballo-Toure hasn’t exactly impressed the fans and the management with his performances. We can find further confirmation on his just by looking at minutes played for him, which stands at 550 currently.
Theo Hernandez is currently recovering from a muscle strain and that means Ballo-Toure will play from start against Empoli. He will have to provide guarantees, seeing as Milan will take on Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge a few days later.
Davide Calabria and Sergino Dest have been mentioned as options for the left flanks as well, and it’s not certain that Ballo-Toure will start against Chelsea. With a good performance against Empoli, though, he will surely get the chance.
Ahead of the World Cup, it’s also an opportunity for him to show the Senegal manager that he deserves a starting spot.
