Milan’s full-back problems worsen as Ballo-Toure leaves Senegal camp with muscle issue

It has not been a good international break for Milan’s full-backs as Fode Ballo-Toure has also sustained an injury while away with Senegal, a report claims.

After the news that Davide Calabria has suffered a calf strain and could miss the next couple of games, Senegal’s head coach has confirmed that Ballo-Toure has left the camp due to a physical problem of his own. He was sent home without playing a minute for his country and must now be monitored.

The former Monaco man was unavailable for Senegal’s against Togo and Congo as confirmed by coach Aliou Cissé (via MilanLive).

“Ballo-Touré reached the Senegalese camp with a crutch. We performed an MRI which revealed a muscle tear, we all realised the problem he already had,” he said.

The defender will soon return to Milanello, where the medical staff will carry out more detailed checks, but if it is indeed a muscle problem then it does not sound like he will be available again after the break.
