AC Milan’s friendly defeat against PSV Eindhoven might well have come at an extra cost as Fode Ballo-Toure was forced off due to injury.
MilanNews recall that in the 91st minute Ballo-Toure – who had come on as a substitute in the second half as part of a mass rotation – went off the field in pain due to a shoulder injury after playing for 25 minutes.
The Senegal international suffered a trauma to his right shoulder and will be re-evaluated in the next few days. Upon first sight it appeared as though he might have dislocated his shoulder, but we await further news.
It is of course a blow for Pioli who might also be without Theo Hernandez for the game against Salernitana on January 4, so Sergino Dest – who started the PSV game – could well be shifted over to the left-back role once again and will hope for a better defensive performance and Mukiele scored twice last night.
