Sport: Barcelona run into problems regarding Kessie deal due to financial situation

By Oliver Fisher -

It appears as though Barcelona have run into problems in trying to register Franck Kessie ahead of his proposed free transfer, a report claims.

It seems like Kessié’s farewell towards Barcelona was certain as Fabrizio Romano gave his famous ‘here we go’ in March and claimed that after a verbal agreement was reached between Kessie’s entourage and Barcelona a few days ago, the Ivorian has now officially signed as new Blaugrana player.

According to Sport (via Radio Rossonera) the Blaugrana are not currently in a position to finalise the arrival of the Ivorian because of the club’s precarious financial situation, which prevents them from registering new signings.

Therefore, if Barcelona want to sign him they will have to find a way to remedy this situation, though certain plans such as selling a stake in the club’s in-house media studios to raise revenues have been touted.

  1. Well good luck kessie to save your comission 10m euro. Even if he want to comeback , never accept him. Need to give pobega playtime

  2. Good start to Kessie Barca carreer.

We can’t wait to see him out of Milan.

He should not darr show that he wants to remain in Milan due to proposed change in Onwership

  3. LOL. Funny how teams like Barca get away with these kinds of misuse on money while Milan has been under the microscope for things the previous owners did 5 years ago.

    Financial “Fair” Play.

    1. Financial Fair Play has always been there to skew the competitions in favor of the big clubs who have loads of income (Barcelona is still among the top four clubs in revenue).
What did Barcelona in was La Liga’s requirement on the payroll where Barca overpaid so much and had so much dead weight.
I always wondered why a club that’s desparately trying to get its payroll under control would overpay for Kessie.

  4. I really have mixed feelings about him, I don’t like the fact that he is negotiating with other clubs while still an active Milan player, but a part of me won’t mind him staying if the new management can keep him, I loved his performance last season. Idk

  5. I don’t know what more do you guys want at this point. As a man who’s leaving the club, he’s still there giving his 100% for the club, with all the curva sud and fans in general attacking him, he’s still there trying to concentrate on the game, how can you call yourself milan fan?! If you think he’s not crucial for this milan team, i don’t know what to judge, your football sense or your iq! Loads of player leave their club without a care in the world, this is not new, what is important is that if the player is contributing for the team, which kessie is still trying to do. Let’s not became an average fan, with great club, comes great responsible fans.

    1. Come on….you really call these performances a100%??
He is a shadow of himself from last year. I understand that he is dealing with issues regarding his transfer, but let’s remember he is very much to blame for letting the process escalate this far.
As far as Barcelona not having the $……..??? Absolutely shiocking!!!!! lol……

      1. The thing is he is trying is 100%, and you’ll never be able to appreciate his presence if you’re judging him from get go. You’ll only notice this this when kessie is gone. Milan stats without kessie is far from good. Bennacer while remaining a creative midfielder, he’s not much of a physical presence on the field. That’s okay too, not everybody needs to do the physical job. Tonali on the other hand, has a lot learn on the way, his goal was important for us, but if it wasn’t for kessie we would have conceded more than score. The proof is the last two match when kessie played the CAM role. So the results kessie brings should not be questioned if you really see this from e neutral perspective. Although i’ve no issue with you on the matter, on how he dealt with his transfer move. He is the one to blame. But is it more important to blame him than to win the League tittle? That much should be clear to any sound headed fan. If we win the tittle with him, and he brings good performance to the table then that’s good for us. Just think for a minute do we really have a better choice than kessie right now, he’s performance though may not be like you said as last year, but still it’s good enough for right now. I think you should agree atleast on this point of view and if not, then that’s good too, whatever good for milan is good for the fan, Forza Milan.

  6. Kessie’s money hungry agent is who to blame, simple as that. As to his performance, yes he is not as good as last year, however he is improving. I expect he will surprise the fans with great farewell performances these last 4 games. He could be “dogging” it these last four games to prevent injury but he won’t be.
