Sport: Frustrated Barcelona youngster drawing interest from Milan, Juventus and Arsenal

AC Milan are one of the clubs monitoring the situation surrounding Barcelona midfielder Riqui Puig, according to a report from Spain.

Sport are claiming that Puig – despite the fact he has had more minutes since Xavi’s arrival as head coach – is still unhappy with his situation as he knows he is the last option in midfield with Gavi and Nico ahead of him, which could make him look for a change in scenery.

Puig has amassed just 355 minutes this season across all competitions spread over 12 games, with 10 in LaLiga, 1 in the Champions League and 1 in the Copa del Rey. Eight of these games have been with Xavi at the helm, but only two of these have been starts and one of them was when Barca had 17 absentees.

A number of clubs are interested in signing him domestically such as Real Betis, Getafe, Granada and Celta Vigo, but his quality and his experience (over 50 games for the Catalan side at the age of 22) has drawn the attention of Juventus, Inter, Napoli and Milan, plus Arsenal.
