Baroni says Verona have been studying ‘how to frustrate Milan’ ahead of Serie A clash

By Euan Burns -

Hellas Verona boss Marco Baroni has explained that he has been trying to find ways to frustrate AC Milan when the sides meet in Serie A today.

Speaking during his press conference on Friday (via SempreMilan.it), the former Lecce coach explained that he is very aware of the quality that Milan possesses as an opponent but he has been building the excitement among his players as they prepare for the game.

“Milan are a strong team, I always tell my players that these are the best games to play,” Baroni said.

He then explained that he has been trying to find a way to cause Milan problems but his job may have been harder given the potential change in formation that Stefano Pioli is implementing for the game.

“These are matches to be played with the right humility, but without being passive. We need awareness and courage. We’re studying how to frustrate Milan, I’m looking more at the offensive aspect than the defensive one,” he said.

Milan are looking to bounce back in Serie A after the embarrassing 5-1 defeat that was suffered at the hands of Inter last weekend.

The performance was better against Newcastle but a win is still needed to get things back on track.
