Ismael Bennacer is currently undergoing a long road to recovery but he took a big step forward by returning to AC Milan’s training ground Milanello.
It is now five months since Bennacer underwent surgery on a knee cartilage problem he suffered during the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Inter, and it became clear that it would be a long road back.
Optimistic estimates have the Algerian back on the field before the end of the year but it is more likely he does not return to competitive action before 2024. Nonetheless, he is back at Milanello to continue his recovery.
