AC Milan have been linked with a move for Hellas Verona talent Reda Belahyane in recent days, but they may face competition from their city rivals Inter.
According to Calciomercato.com, Inter not having Hakan Calhanoglu available due to injury coincides well with the match against Verona this weekend because their directors Ausilio and Baccin will use to take a closer look at a player who has managed to arouse their interest.
Several clubs in Serie A have already started to inquire about Belahyane, the 20-year-old midfielder who is demonstrating good things with the Gialloblu. Scouts have noticed him competing for balls and winning duels against opponents who are much more physical, and they realise his potential.
He has a strong personality, with excellent technical skills to go with it. The Nerazzurri believe that he could replace Calhanoglu or Nicolo Barella when either are unavailable. However, their rivals Milan are also ‘very interested’ in the Moroccan.
The Rossoneri have already started some discussions with the player’s agent but there is nothing too concrete at the moment. Inter, meanwhile, are believed to be evaluating Belahyane alongside a number of other targets.
For Milan it is a much more pressing matter, because they do not have a natural and trusted deputy to Youssouf Fofana. Their neighbours, on the other hand, can at least count on Kristjan Asllani most o the time.
€11-16m should be a good bracket. Nothing more
