Belgian midfielder Aster Vranckx is set to find more space in Stefano Pioli’s tactical plans in the latter portion of the 2022/23 season, a report claims.
As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), there could be some changes in the AC Milan midfield during the rest of the season as Pioli seeks to find ways to deal with the mass of games that will come in quick succession.
Vranckx is currently on loan from Wolfsburg with an option for the deal to be made permanent but he has not featured too heavily for the Rossoneri so far this season.
He has played four times in Serie A during the first 15 matches and got one assist. Pioli is planning to use him in a more attacking role later in the season though which opens up another position for him to get some minutes.
His chances of playing a more forward role would be boosted if Milan do not sign an attacking midfielder in the January transfer window.
