PM: Belotti sets sights on boyhood dream as Milan initiate contacts over free transfer

By Oliver Fisher -

It seems as though AC Milan are linked with a move for Andrea Belotti every single transfer window without fail, but this coming summer they could get the striker on a free.

According to what is being reported by PianetaMilan, there are ongoing contacts between the Milan management and Torino’s captain, who will not renew his expiring contract and therefore will walk away at the end of the season on a free to try a new professional experience.

The 28-year-old has maintained that he will decide on where to go at the end of the season, but his will is clear: to move south-east and to achieve his boyhood dream of wearing the Rossoneri shirt.

He has always been a Milan fan and the Milan management are thinking about signing him given the opportunity to land an established Serie A goal scorer at no cost. Contacts between the parties are ongoing, with reflections underway.

    1. How? If we will have Ibrahimović and Giroud there next season how would he benefit from that? I would rather they buy Ekitike as he looks like the future and it makes sense to get him next to 2 experienced strikers. If Ibrahimović won’t sign or Giroud leaves it makes sense, in case they are both there I don’t understand the logic in getting Belotti.

      1. He will be in starting line up,giroud will be supersub, ibra will be in ambulance as always ,there is no much to think about, ekitike is kid,not proven player that would cost 30+ mil ,money that we need now to fix CB,AM and RW.
Belotti is beast, proven player, since he started playin in seria he played 6 seasons 35+ matches, one season he played 32 matches and only this current season he had some injury problems.I really wish they sign him.

        1. I really don’t, no point in signing a player who will turn 29 this year for the future with 2 veteran strikers in the team. He won’t be first choice. You can compare his best season stats with Ibrahimović stats from this year, and you still won’t be able to prove that he is a “beast”. I don’t see it, good attacker, but not really top level. Signing a top talent like Ekitike for the future and combining it with these 2 veterans would be perfect.

          1. You said ”you can compare his best stats with ibra last year”, he scored 26 goals in 35 matches in 2017. Giroud is to old to be first striker,he cant run, most of the match he stay up front and just watching his team ates, belotti is now in full strenght and thats all we need,he can play 3 seasons easy ,we cant look now for talented players and wait them in future because we need a real striker who can run now and we can get one for free, and there will be chances to get young players in future maybe even for free,i cant even believe that you actualy count on ibra and giroud to be our first line up next year, these guys will probably miss at least half of the season just like they did this year

        1. Yeah, he is finished while being the best scorer for Milan this season. The thing is Ibrahimović will score about the same number Belotti can score per season, by playing half of the matches. 😀

        2. Just checked the stats, Belotti has 1 goal every 3 matches. And when someone says he plays in a “weak team” you just look at Vlahović average at Fiorentina. 20, 21 year old. Belotti is not there, will never be. Good backup for Milan, but I don’t see the point in signing him at almost 29 except the fact that he would be a free transfer and if we won’t have funds for that position. He still wouldn’t be a long term solution and we have a few short term solutions.

          1. I agree. Belotti would be a solid back-up for free. But we need a Vlahovic type striker to lead the line for the next 10 years…Belotti is not it IMO. He’s not world class IMO

        3. Did you people consider ibra as a reliable player now? To me he is dead in football and giroud is injury player let get belloty he will us and him self

      2. Giroud doesn’t score often, and gets lucky most of the time, he also doesn’t have pace to help our attack, Belotti is strong and fast, his link up play is good and he’s a good passer, at times Giroud looks like he’s the 41 year old in the squad.

  1. This is a no-brainer. Sign him – for free!

For once let’s do what other clubs do to us all the time. He will be a great fit, him and Tonali are both true Milanistas – we need more of those!

  2. Just a simple thing, if still have budget transfer left after buy botman& Renato ,they wiil go for Isaak/Jonathan David/Darwin Nunez. If don’t want to invest money on striker just sign belotti free. OFC belotti are below the other striker but he Will play full heart and give his best to his Boyhood club , he can be used 3-4 years too
