This summer, Ismael Bennacer is widely expected to leave AC Milan. However, it is not going as planned so far.
There is not really any space for Bennacer at Milan; there is an aim to have six midfielders, and whilst this is possible with the Algerian, it is not desired. Instead, he would be sold, and another would arrive. After the January debacle, this is the hope.

For two windows in a row, the midfielder forced a move, with it proving successful in January. Marseille, though, had no interest in making his move permanent this summer, which puts everyone into a difficult position.
No interest
With an exit hoped for, he is available. But there has not been any European interest so far. In fact, the only offer on the table so far is from Saudi Arabia, which he has been unsure of for some time. A report this morning effectively shuts down the rumour, though.
According to Corriere della Sera, the midfielder is ‘not convinced’ by the prospect of moving to Saudi Arabia, as MilanNews relays. Like a lot of the incoming moves, it may not be a case of moving on the Rossoneri’s terms. Instead, it could be delayed until later.

It’s funny that we complain about Brugge for not listening to their player’s will and instead trying to force him to go to a team he doesn’t wish to play for and at the same time we complain that our own player doesn’t want to play to a team we picked but he didn’t.
We let him go to Marseille on very lenient conditions when he forced his move in winter. What are you talking about, we are by far the least difficult party in those deals. Not our fault that he couldn´t get himself bought for lack of quality.
It was a loan + option to buy for 12M€, so I don’t know what you mean by “very lenient” (although he certainly put us in a bad situation since we couldn’t replace him in our UEFA list).
Let’s not pretend he’s worth more than 10M€ at the moment.
Giga no one is saying Bennacer is worth more than 10m. You’re just doubling down on inventing reasons to hate on Milan. Seriously what point are you trying to make? Milan don’t want this guy (for good reason), they are looking for a new home for him, he rejected the move to Saudi. Fair, he’s been kicked off the squad because he’s unreliable, also fair. Marseille didn’t want to buy him because he sucks and probably is an a**hole which is also fair. Lastly how is Milan challenging the players will? Benny wants to stay in Milan fair sounds like there’s a spot on the futuro for him which is fair.

The point I’m trying to make is that we shouldn’t blame Bennacer (or any player in particular) for not wanting to go that hellzone discriminatory and absolutely sh!t hole of a place that is Saudi Arabia.
It’s not like we had multiples offers lined up for him and he kept turning down each one of them (like Ballo-Touré and Origi did in the past) otherwise I would definetly blame him and he clearly wants to leave Milan otherwise he wouldn’t have pushed for Marseille in the winter.
And as for what to do for him, I don’t see any good solution aside from accepting any offer we’ll receive for him.
The difference is brugge only want auction for jashari to increase his price, while bennacer only have one buyer that serious . His relationship with ACM broken because he forcing his way out on deadline day in winter and make ACM panic buying bondo 10m euro for his replacement while jashari already informed brugge in july so brugge can find his replacement earlier
It doesn’t matter if anyone wants to pay it or not, Milan are contractually obliged to pay it. It’s the same situation Juve have with Vlahovic, if they want him to leave they’re going to have to pay part of his owed contract to him.

A lot of more senior players will have a clause these days that you can’t force them to train with the youth team. You can exclude them from the first team but they would have to volunteer to join Futuro. Hence you don’t see it that often when players are being forced out these days.
IMO should be more like some US sports, where (in overly simplified terms) youth players have a number of promotions and relegations but if you cut a senior player you have to pay up their contract.
