AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer decided to speak out on social media after the 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Lazio last night.
The start of 2023 for the Rossoneri has so far taken a horror plot. After the defeat in the Supercoppa final against Inter, a humiliation followed at the Olimpico against Sarri’s Lazio, with Napoli now 12 points ahead and fifth place only one point away.
Bennacer took to Twitter to try and reassure fans who are understandably concerned about the difficult moment.
“Failure is difficult to accept, but hope always prevails. Rest assured that we will not give up. We will work to understand our mistakes and give you what you deserve. Thank you for your continued support, which is even more significant in these difficult times,” he said.
