Resto del Carlino: Bologna attempt to hijack Werder Bremen’s move for Milan outcast

By Oliver Fisher -

Bologna remain on the trail of Fode Ballo-Toure and hope to take advantage of Werder Bremen’s inability to close the deal, a report claims.

According to a report from Il Resto del Carlino (via PianetaMilan) – a local paper that cover Bologna – the Rossoblu have not yet given up on the idea of signing Ballo-Toure despite the fact he seemed to be closing in on a move to Germany.

Everything appearaed to suggest that the Senegalese defender would be going to Werder Bremen but the deal has not been closed, with Bologna hoping to convince him to stay in Italy.

The offer is a loan with option to buy, but it could become an obligation to buy set at €4m if certain conditions are met in the duration of his loan spell.

The final say will therefore be down to the will of the player who, until some time ago, seemed to want to stay in Serie A. Developments will be expected in the next few days, also because the negotiation with Werder hasn’t been finalised yet.
