Bonaventura happy with performance and result after draw against Napoli

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura has insisted that the team are on the right path after the 1-1 draw with Napoli at San Siro.

Milan failed to grab the three points against Napoli, but at least they didn’t lose. Bonaventura rescued the Rossoneri from disaster as his equaliser in the first half was enough for one point.

With the result Milan jump into 13th in the table and have ended their tough stretch of fixtures during which they have also played Lazio, Rom and Juventus, though 14th placed Sassuolo do have two games in hand.

Bonaventura spoke to Milan TV after the game and discussed the performance, with MilanNews.it transcribing his comments.

“Tonight we did a great performance, I’m happy to be back at the San Siro. We drew tonight but the performance is positive, we played well against Juventus too. The road is the right one,” he said.

“I feel good even from mid-wing, for me it is indifferent, the important thing is that in the field I know what I have to do.

“Of course we have to read some situations better, I think I know the championship well, I played many games in Serie A. I try to give my best and give some advice to my team-mates. The important thing is that we all follow the coach who is doing a great job.

On Napoli: “Napoli is a great team, it has great quality, the draw was right, Milan had a great game, Napoli did a good game, we managed to limit their quality, we are happy with this result.”
