Sven Botman seems to be the man that the AC Milan management agree on being the right investment for the long-term, but it is reportedly unlikely he would arrive in January.
The subject of which centre-back should come in and cover during Simon Kjaer’s absence due to a season-ending knee injury continues to be debated at length in the media. According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, Botman is considered by Milan as the ideal candidate to reinforce the Rossoneri defence.
However, it will be more than complicated to sign the Dutchman in the winter transfer window and that is why the idea could be postponed until the end of the season and a concrete assault may therefore happen in June rather than next month.
What that means regarding who Milan go for in January is not mentioned in the report but it certainly opens up the hypothesis of a loan or another stopgap deal.
