BR: Chelsea would welcome Tomori back despite targeting Napoli and RB Leipzig stars

By Oliver Fisher -

Chelsea are more than happy to welcome defender Fikayo Tomori back into their plans should Milan choose not to buy him, a journalist has claimed.

According to Dean Jones of BleacherReport (via AbsoluteChelsea), the Blues are planning on signing a new defender in the summer and three names are on their list.

RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano, Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly and Bayern Munich’s Niklas Sule are all names that Chelsea have talked about so far as they look ahead to the next stage of recruitment.

However, the Stamford Bridge outfit would also be very open to Tomori coming back and proving he deserves a place at the club, if Milan do not take up the option to buy him permanently.

Tomori joined Milan on loan with an option to buy late in the winter market, with several sources reporting that €28m is the figure that the management would need to pay to keep him.
