CM: Brahim Diaz wins the ‘Triple Crown’ but doubts over his Milan future persist

By Oliver Fisher -

Brahim Diaz was awarded the ‘Triple Crown’ by Spanish newspaper Marca, but there continues to be an element of doubt about his future at Milan.

The Spanish playmaker was given a trophy by Marca for being the first Under 23 player in football history to have won the Premier League, LaLiga and Serie A with Manchester City, Real Madrid and Milan in order.

Calciomercato.com speaks about his future are remarks that the level of competition for the Spaniard could soon increase. The agreement of last summer dictates that Brahim should remain on loan at the Rossoneri until June 2023 as a two-year loan with option to buy was secured.

That option to buy is set at €22m but Los Blancos have the possibility of repurchasing the former Manchester City man for €27m. Currently, the buy-out is a figure considered high for the Rossoneri who are in the meantime pursuing Charles De Ketelaere.

If the Belgian were to arrive it would raise questions about Diaz’s role next season, fuelling discussions on his growth path, so some important evaluations have to be made.
