CorSera: Breakdown in talks means no big screen streaming of Sassuolo game in Milano

By Oliver Fisher -

There will be no big screen in Milano showing AC Milan’s title-deciding game away from home against Sassuolo despite attempts from both sides.

Over the past few days there has been speculation about talks between the council and the club about getting a big screen to show the game in some part of the city, given the demand for tickets to actually attend the Mapei Stadium far outweighed the supply.

According to Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), the disappointed Rossoneri fans will find themselves having to watch Sassuolo-Milan either at home or elsewhere, in the hopes of seeing a draw or a win that would mean a 19th league title.

There were some problems in the talks because the council stress that they have given the green light and the region have made a place available, but the prefecture state that there has been no request from Milan.

The Rossoneri did not hesitate to reply, stating that the big screen was ready, but that no one ever said which was the most suitable place for the game to be screened. As such, no mass event will happen.
