Roma-Milan could mark an important milestone for Hakan Calhanoglu. The Turkish midfielder, who comes from a great performance against Lecce last time out, could make his 100th appearance for the Rossoneri.
Even though it wasn’t enough for the time, Calhanoglu was brilliant in the 2-2 draw against Lecce as he scored the first goal and assisted the other. After receiving a lot of criticism, he certainly sent a strong signal.
Therefore, he’s also expected to play from start on Sunday evening against Roma, which would be his 100th appearance in all competitions for the San Siro side. The first performance dates back to August 2017, when he replaced Suso against Craiova.
Since then, he has been an important player for Milan, although experiencing a few poor spells as well. Hopefully, he can build on the display against Lecce to help his side get back to winning ways. Down below are the details of his performances.
Serie A: 75 games
Europa League (including qualifiers): 15
Coppa Italia: 8
Italian Super Cup: 1
