Francesco Camarda has just arrived in Lecce ahead of undergoing a medical and signing on a season-long loan deal.
Camarda’s adventure at Lecce is about to begin. The teenage striker is leaving Milan and moving to Puglia for the next season, on the basis of a loan with an option to buy set at €3m and a buy-back in the Rossoneri’s favour at €4m, as per Calciomercato.com.

The young striker has just arrived in Salento and on Monday he will undergo medical tests with the Giallorossi before signing the contract.
Last season, Camarda shuttled between Milan Futuro and the first team, with whom he made his debut as a starter in Serie A and as a substitute in the Champions League.
In Serie C he got five goals and one assist in 18 games, and he did not collect enough overall appearances to play in the relegation play-off, which the Futuro lost to SPAL.

€3m for a player who’s supposedly the best to come out of our youth sector since Donnarumma? Yeah I know he’s young but how do other clubs do it? Even Parma quoting €30m for their young defender who’s played just one season in top level football.

Camarda doesn’t even have a quarter season under him. There is a buy back clause of 4 million if he performs. I hope he does and isn’t like Colombo, Crutone and Petegna.
I hope Lecce team can make him score 15 goals this season. That would be enough.

Read the details, it’s not a 3M purchase for Lecce, it’s Milan paying 1M for his development. It’s just a loan with some accounting tricks.
So let’s assume the boy blossoms in two or three seasons and not in his first season at Leece. Doesn’t that mean we lose control since the buy back can only be activated for one season? Will Milan buy him back if he doesn’t succeed in his first season? It’s like Lucca whom – if we had faith in his ability – we could have gotten for maybe €10m when he hadn’t blossomed. There’s no guarantee that Camarda will do well in his first season and even Leece may decide not to use him much in the first season so they can have full control when we decide not to use the buy back. Why have €1m now when you can have €25m in like three years?
Oh god you must be genius in math, if he is soing good in second season than we will have him the next year because his first season is on Loan, they have option to buy for second season, and who told you that the buyback clause will expired in 1 year?
No sir I’m not good at math but let’s say he’s on loan for the first season and he does well and they decide to use their option to buy, presumably at the second season like you said, does it not stand to reason that Milan would trigger their buy back assuming he did well? I don’t remember the club that bought Colombo and Milan immediately triggered the buy back. It’s not like when they trigger their option to buy, they get to keep the player for another year before Milan can trigger their buy back option.
So the best way to look at it is that they have paid €3m for him and Milan have the option of buying him back next season for €4m. Also just as the article doesn’t state that the buy back expires in 1 year, it also doesn’t state that the buy back lasts for more than a year.

He needs the minutes in his legs before he becomes an asset. If you have the money, you can easly buy back what you sold cheap, and I think we have the money, and lots of sellable assets.

It’s a very good deal for Milan and Camarda. We maintain control with buy-back clause and Lecce have the motivation to use him for a 1 million . Camarda badly needs playing time and a less pressure on him. For Milan it’s very good financially. We have now 3 millions to use , or make difference between a negative or positive balance overall at end of mercato. Next summer we can bring him back with 4 millions , let’s hope he will develop nicely under Lecce t-shirt.
Exactly, 6 comments out of 7 saying how bad it is. But actually it is the best deal we could have made. Its way better than dry loan, because lecce now wants to develop him, instead of leaving him on the bench. I do not know what are the fans smoking, you loan a player to a club where he can get some minutes, you have full control over him, and the people are still somehow thinking it is a bad deal.

I am disappointed he’s not getting a bigger first team role, but this is just a loan, Milan still have control. And because it’s structured this way, it’s effectively a longer contract that he could sign now.

It is very good deal , ACM give 1m euro to lecce just for develop camarda ( iif they activate buy option 3m euro and later ACM buyback 4m euro ) . The worst are camarda play bad and lecce got relegated, then ACM will get camarda back in 2026

Buy back clause is that Milan has the right to refuse, or simply pay 4m at any time, including if Lecce wants to sell him.
We are technically paying 1M for them to develop a player we cannot. It is unfair to him to pressure him, he has had his chance, so now he will have a better one there. He is good, but if you compare him to say Yamal, he did not use his opportunity, he has not matured yet, which is fine. He can do so now!
ACM never have buy option for brahim , it is just dry loan . Maybe you are talking about jimenez ? RM have buyback for Jimenez
Hope he gets actual playing time. Otherwise it might have just been better to do Primavera for one more season and then go out on loan afterwards. The former pretty much guarantees playing time while the latter is better for the psychological impact if not the technical level. I see lots of kids rot both ways (playing too low of a level and being pushed too much to a higher level).
