It was a case of the less said, the better, for AC Milan last night. However, there may have been some positive signs shown by those on loan.
Milan will want no reminders from the first game of the 2025/26 season. As a whole, they were sub-par and Cremonese made no issue making them pay for that. From front to back, there were faults from several individuals, which has left a bitter taste in the mouth.

However, there were some performances to take note from elsewhere, as several loanees made their Serie A debuts for their new clubs.
How the loanees did
It is probably best to start at San Siro, where Filippo Terracciano had a strong performance in Davide Nicola’s defence. The right back was given a 6.5 by Gazzetta dello Sport for his efforts, he dealt with Christian Pulisic well, and contributed to the strong backline.
Additionally, Warren Bondo, ‘another fresh ex’, was given a 6. The midfielder was involved, and helped see out the game in the final moments. A decent performance.
For what its worth, the pair outscored 10 of the 14 Rossonero to take to the pitch, and only Luka Modric matched Terracciano’s rating. Telling, indeed.
Elsewhere, it was a night to forget for the two loanees in Genoa-Lecce. Lorenzo Colombo was ‘suffocated’ by the opposition defence, and found no space as a result, as Gazzetta writes. For Francesco Camarda, with all the eyes on him, his ‘commendable’ effort was not enough to find the net. Both were given the lowest scores on their team, a 5.5.
Good outing for Bondo and Terracciano. I’m sure they both had the ‘I told you so’ feeling.
Camarda made a great run to open himself in front of goal, his teammate however didn’t pass to him and took a shot which resulted in nothing. If he passed to Camarda it would have been a goal 99% of the time from that position.
Bondo made a crucial foul (his yellow) to preserve his team’s victory as RLC was clean on goal. I thought that was really smart of him being situated in front of defence. Terra didn’t too badly either
Forgot to put….but there’s a big difference in giving players minutes vs sparingly..it’s up to he trust of the coach
Milan have no RB now. And Terriciano is playing against them.

Cremonese just did the obvious and sensible and played Terracciano in one of his two natural positions, RCB and RB. Here we wanted him to be Ambrosini or Pirlo
