Candreva warns Salernitana will be ‘ready to play a great match’ against Milan

AC Milan will face Salernitana on January 4th as Serie A (finally) will resume after the World Cup break. It’s a must-win for the Rossoneri and the Salerno side’s veteran Antonio Candreva has sent a warning.

Stefano Pioli’s men are currently eight points behind Napoli in the league standings and thus need a very strong second half of the season to catch up. The game against Salernitana, therefore, will be an important starting point.

Milan are clear favourites in the fixture but the situation was the same last season, and then the Rossoneri managed just a 2-2 draw away from home. Antonio Candreva, the Salernitana winger, has sent a warning.

“Milan? We are getting ready for the resumption of the league. We know we’re going to face a great team, we’ll be ready to play a great game,” he stated as cited by SempreMilan.it.

Candreva used to play for Inter and always had a knack for doing very well in the derby, so he certainly knows what it’s like to play against Milan. Fortunately for the latter, the veteran will be suspended for the game and will only be able to direct his teammates from the stands.
