Racing Club midfielder Carlos Alvarez is not a player that AC Milan are currently interested in signing, a report claims.
As has been reported by Milan News, there was a report on Tuesday from the Argentinian press that the Rossoneri had made an opening bid for the Argentinian midfielder.
It is now reported within Italy that Milan are not currently interested in pursuing a move for Alvarez despite the Argentinian reports.
The rumoured bid was for the value of €12 million but Racing Club would like to receive at least €18 million which is closer to the 19-year-old’s release clause of €25 million.
He signed a new contract with the club recently which runs until December 2026 and given the high release clause, the Argentinian side do have some bargaining power.
It could well be that should Milan have any difficulty signing Charles De Ketelaere and Hakim Ziyech this summer, they will pursue Alvarez more seriously.

The name is Carlos Alcaraz not Alvarez . I don’t think we’ll buy him for 18 mill, but I don’t consider it crazy that we made an offer of 8 mill + 4 mill bonuses considering he’s U21 and wouln’t need to be registered for the lists (for what it’s worth, his transfermarkt value is at 8 mill). He has played RW, CM and AM and we need someone that won’t mind sitting in the bench and if needed due to injuries, be ready to play (similar to Kalulu who didn’t mind playing center-back when we needed someone to fill those shoes)
I don’t think we’ll buy him… his club or agent probably leaked the news to raise interest and hopefully open a bidding war .
there is one thing that clearly speaks against him joining us and being used on the right wing and that is that pioli pretty much has shown his reluctance playing any right footed players on the right wing. He has rejected playing both rebic and hauge there so i doubt a 18 year old right footed cm would get the chance there either even if he has played some games there in argentina. Simply wouldnt make any sense in my view.
