MN: Castillejo’s Valencia move falls through – Milan’s January business likely over

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s business for the January transfer window appears to be over as Samu Castillejo will not be joining Valencia, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, Samu Castillejo will remain at Milan as the potential transfer of the Spanish winger to Valencia did not go through, with the LaLiga side instead on the verge of signing Bryan Gil from Spurs on loan.

With little less than 24 hours until the transfer window slams shut, the Rossoneri’s incoming operations can be considered closed, with nobody set to join the club between now at 19:00 CET tomorrow.

There will certainly be a reflection made on the January transfer window, as rival clubs have made moves to strengthen ahead of the decisive part of the 2021-22 season, such as Dusan Vlahovic and Denis Zakaria to Juventus plus Robin Gosens to Inter, so there is a growing angst among Milan fans as the club are seemingly only going to sign a teenage striker.

  1. Samu Castillejo the guy that messed up Milan’s transfer market in January 2022?

    Rubbish.

    The directors should get creative.

  2. This is like Ramsey on rubentus, keep rejecting club suitor and don’t want reduce his 2,5m euro for new club . Im afraid he Will stay in AC Milan until his contract expire in 2023. Even krunic was hated by half of fans but i still respect krunic than this castilejo , krunic much more useful and have lower salary than this dude

  3. No ambition.

What type of footballer doesn’t want to play?
Even if it means you take a paycut, you still want to play.
Rejected Genoa and Sampdoria because he preferred to go back to Spain.
    Fair enough.

Then rejects Valencia, Getafe and Espanyol. What’s the excuse now? Not paid enough. Samu proved 0 at Milan.

  4. This guy is a parasite. He just doesn’t wanna leave!!! So disappointed in milan’s mercato, honestly, especially when you see all the clubs arround you buying good players or even loans. Like wtfff Maldini couldn’t even bring 1 more singing? Even if its a loan like wtfff guys
