AC Milan are one of the sides who have made enquiries about signing Jeremy Doku from Stade Rennais but he wants a Premier League move, a report claims.
According to a report from CaughtOffside, both Liverpool and Aston Villa are currently showing the strongest interest in Doku with the latter having taken the most concrete steps, but they are waiting to see what happens with Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby.
Liverpool enquired about Doku but are currently focused on strengthening other areas of their squad, though they do have a ‘long-term appreciation’ of the Belgium international.
As for the player, he has made it clear that he sees a move to the Premier League as the ideal next step and that is his ‘clear priority’, despite approaches from Milan and Napoli who are both looking to strengthen the right side.
Stade Rennais ‘would likely ask for around €40m’ to let Doku leave this summer which is obviously a figure English sides can more easily meet.
The 21-year-old scored 7 goals and added 4 assists in 35 games for the French club last season across all competitions and is under contract until 2025.

Stade Rennais have a pedgriee for identifying and developing talents, also a propensity to sell players at high fees. This one might be dead in the water if we won’t meet their price.
I remember this kid was excellent in Euro 2020, and I wanted Milan to sign him up pretty much from there on. But let’s face it, with our stingy management and low budget we will never beat english sides to this player.
