CM: Midfielder heading towards Real Madrid exit – an opportunity for Milan and Inter

By Oliver Fisher -

Dani Ceballos has been repeatedly linked with a move to AC Milan in recent transfer windows and his name has come up again, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com recall how Ceballos seemed to have an incredibly bright future after being one of the best players at the 2017 U21 European Championship with Spain, capturing the title of MVP of the tournament and attracting the attention of the big clubs in the process.

Teams like Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid wanted him and it was the latter who got him. A loan to Arsenal followed and then he returned to base, amassing just 7 appearances this season for a total of 75 minutes between the league and cup competitions.

Milan wanted him back in the summer of 2019 and they thought of him again last summer as a potential replacement for Hakan Calhanoglu but in the end he remained in Madrid due to an injury he sustained last July.

However, it cannot be ruled out that the Rossoneri go back in for him again while Inter have also been credited with interest, given the 25-year-old does not seem to be part of Ancelotti’s plans.
