C&F: Reaching the Champions League final will be worth €15.5m to Milan

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan can expect to receive another €15.5 million if they can qualify for the final of the Champions League by making it past Inter, a report claims.

As has been reported by Calcio e Finanza, the money is set to just keep on coming for the teams in the latter stages of the Champions League and it is of vital importance to both Milan and Inter.

The two Milan sides face off in the semi-final first leg on Wednesday night and if the Rossoneri can get the better of the Nerazzurri, €15.5 million will be added to the amount they are already getting from the tournament.

When factoring in participation, historical ranking, the market pools, achievement bonuses and progression in each of the rounds, Milan would be set to receive €100.95 million from the Champions League overall if they reach the final.

That figure does not take ticket sales into account either with the club making some money from tickets for the final if they make it.
