This summer the key word will, again, be change, with AC Milan looking to hire a new head coach and a new sporting director, and it seems that there will be changes in the plans.
The past few days have been chaotic when it comes to the sporting director, and ideas that were laid out originally have changed slightly, and this is due to a change in power at the top of the club.
As reported over this weekend, Giorgio Furlani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were not in agreement about the plans for a new sporting director, and this has spiralled somewhat, and now, Gerry Cardinale has opted to place his trust in the former.
Furlani, reportedly, now has full control over the decisions regarding both the sporting director and the head coach, and with that, the ideas for the roles may change slightly.
As reported yesterday, there are new names in the mix for the sporting director – Thiago Scuro and Markus Kroesche – and as Corriere della Sera (via Milan News) report, they could be viewed more plausibly than Igli Tare and Fabio Paratici – who were favourites for Ibra.
Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News) also state that an Italian appointment cannot be ruled out as D’Amico of Atalanta and Sartori of Bologna are being considered.
A decision is far from being made.
Give me Sartori. I do not belive in the other candidates.
De amico of Atlanta hhh useless are they mad?
This in my opinion is a mistake, but it is also a mistake to think that Elliots person in Milan will lose to Ibra. My problem is that I do not believe this person has an understanding of football to make such a decision. Gazidis was different, and he relied on football professionals to do their work and advise him.
Milan will pay the price ultimately, and we as fan will have to live another year with poor performance.
If Alegri is the manager, I will do something I have not ever done. Stop watching the games
Sartori is the dream
Bring the random German guy that has seen good players only on TV and doesn’t even speak Italian. Can’t find a better person to fix the sporting part of the team and fix the morale and situation inside it. Amazing. 0 candidates with no Serie A experience should be considered. 0.
I think Sartori is the best one, for what he has at Atalanta and Bologna in addition to being former Ac Milan player
Unpopular opinion, Leverkusen sport manager just quit hire at all cost. He may not be Italian but he knows what he’s doing.
