Evening Standard: Chelsea boosted as trio return to training on eve of Milan clash

By Oliver Fisher -

While AC Milan continue to suffer injuries in waves, Chelsea have been given a triple injury boost ahead of tomorrow night’s Champions League clash.

As reported by the London Evening Standard, Graham Potter’s side trained at Cobham on Tuesday morning and three players were involved in the session who there were previously question marks over in N’Golo Kante, Marc Cucurella and Edouard Mendy.

The trio were not available for Saturday’s last-minute win at Crystal Palace, but Kante is in the final stages of recovery following a hamstring injury and could therefore play some part, while Cucurella has come back from an illness that ruled him and fellow summer signing Carney Chukwuemeka out against Palace.

Mendy is also close to a return following a knee problem that gave deputy Kepa Arrizabalaga a start in their last three three matches. Potter is expected to give updates in his press conference regarding whether all three will play against Milan.
