Evening Standard: Chelsea turn to Inter’s Onana as Milan want over €90m for star man

Chelsea appear to have given up on their pursuit of Mike Maignan already having been quoted a high asking price, according to a report.

The London Evening Standard are reporting that Chelsea ‘will step up their pursuit’ of Inter’s Andre Onana following his impressive display in the Champions League final, with the London club determined to sign a new number one goalkeeper.

Inter are asking for £50m to let the 27-year-old go, which works out at around €57m, and their financial issues might see them part ways with the Cameroon international.

Manchester United are also keen and they can offer Champions League football next season, but either way it seems Onana is top of a list which now has Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili, Dortmund’s Gregor Kobel and Brentford’s David Raya on it too.

The report adds that Mike Maignan was ‘also sounded out’ but Chelsea ‘have been put off’ by his £80m asking price, which is around €93.4m.

    1. It is OK if in next 4 years Mike go for free and during that period Milan, gain pitch success and win prize money 🙂
