AC Milan have begun talks with the agent of Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali over a possible move to San Siro, according to a report.
Tonali is one of the most interesting young Italian talents and will certainly be the subject of a lot of speculation when the transfer window does reopen, with a number of Europe’s top clubs reportedly keen.
It was reported earlier on Wednesday by SportMediaset that the Rossoneri are keen on signing the 19-year-old Italy international, who earlier in the week confirmed that he is still a Milan fan just as he has been since he was young.
According to Calciomercato.com reporter Daniele Longo on Twitter, there has been a ‘surprise’ in the race to sign Tonali as Milan have begun discussions with the player’s agent.

Liverpool, Manchester United, Juventus and Inter among others have been linked with a move for Tonali, but Milan will be hoping to use the player’s love for the club – and the ability to guarantee him a spot in the starting XI – to their advantage.
