CM: AC Milan’s stance on Caldara clear amid offers from Atalanta and the Premier League

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have rejected offers for defender Mattia Caldara including some from the Premier League, according to a report.

As per Calciomercato.com, former club Atalanta reached out to try and gauge whether Caldara would be interested in a return to Bergamo next month, hoping that the chance to play in the Champions League and working with his old mentor Gian Piero Gasperini would be enough of a temptation.

However, they are not alone, as the report adds that more than one Premier League club have tried to sign the centre-back on loan offer with the right to buy.

Milan currently do not want to sell Caldara and wants to focus on the Italian who arrived as part of the deal which saw Leonardo Bonucci return to Juventus.

Another centre-back will arrive from the market with Jean-Clair Todibo on pole, but Caldara remains firmly in the Rossoneri’s plans. Nonetheles,, Atalanta are set to try again in the upcoming weeks, the report concludes.
