CM: Agent pressures Spurs after meeting at Casa Milan over defender – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

Negotiations between AC Milan and Spurs over Emerson Royal are down to the final details and it is now presumed that he will arrive, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Milan management have has intensified contacts with Tottenham to try to reach the finish line in the shortest time possible, with work ongoing to find a meeting point on the transfer fee.

Everything between Milan and the player is sorted. A meeting at Casa Milan took place two days ago between Geoffrey Moncada, Giorgio Furlani and the agent Castagna and there was an agreement reached over salary and commissions.

Now the entourage of the player together with the intermediaries are trying to convince Tottenham to budge on their price, which is €15m plus €3-4m in bonuses, which Milan are offering a bit less on the fixed amount (€14m) and the bonuses (€3m).

The deal is not in doubt and Milan hope to close the matter soon to have Emerson Royal available at Milanello to work with Paulo Fonseca, while waiting for the team to return from the American tour.

There are still some economic aspects to clarify though and that is why it is likely that there will not be any handshakes until the beginning of next week.

      1. And there is nothing you people can say without whining about someone else opinion. The comments are about that, sharing opinions. If you cant form any of your own, thats your problem. We will keep talking about football here.

        1. It’s fine to write your opinion but many people here tend to prejudge every decision and 99 percent of the time it’s negative. The guy hasn’t even signed yet. Who would have imagined that we would win the scudetto or reach the semis of champions league with pioli. Everyone wanted Charles and we know how that ended. So maybe share your opinion when you have some evidence

          1. So this guy hasen’t showned anything in years. But now we are not allowed to say that why ? It was simmilar with Origi, which now they struggle to offload. Also Charles is doing just fine under Gasperini, Pioli was the problem, something that was pointed long time ago by this people who according to you are negative. People who talk about this problems are actually the ones with the “evidence” and the logic. People just yelling “support the managment” are the ones who usually have no idea what they are talking about. They just follow. And thats ok, but dont try to bash other people who want to actually discuss what is going on in the club.

      2. Let them buy Kayode instead of this clown and we would’t complain.
Let them bring Casadei and we would’t complain.
Let the owner have ambition and invest to win trophies just like any new owner that buys a big club and we won’t complain.
Let us feel that we still are Ac Milan a big Italian club instead of Internazionale and have a owner that have the balls to invest in players like Calafiori Scalvini Kayode Casadei Boungiorno etc then we won’t complain.

  1. We should sign Sergi Roberto (former Barca player. Now free agent. Reportedly very low agent fees) he can play midfield or RB. Plenty of experience much more suitable replacement for Florenzi.

No need to spend €15-20mn on a guy that might end up being the next Ballo Toure

    1. You are probably a top football expert who follows his career very closely when you say such facts with certainty! I would like it if the club management and coach Fonseca would sometimes look at your statements, they could learn a lot!

  2. Fascinating to know how Milan have been negotiating wwith the Spurs management when they are all in Asia. A lot of posing going on.

  3. We do need a right back. Flat out. Florenzi is injured potentially a career ending injury at least for Milan.

Is Emerson Royal my first choice? No. I’d prefer Tiago Santos. But a Premier League could do well here.
