CM: Atalanta star set to evaluate future amid rift with Gasperini – Milan the most interested

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are the club who are most interested in Josip Ilicic who could leave Atalanta at the end of the season, a report claims.

As Calciomercato.com writes, Ilicic scored the winning goal against Fiorentina on Sunday night and then made a statement about his future: “I want to finish the season well, then we’ll see what happens.”

The report mentions how these are words that definitely leave the door open to a farewell at the end of the season, when the Slovenia international and the Bergamo club will evaluate the future together and take various factors into consideration.

Among these there is the strained relationship with head coach Gian Piero Gasperini, which has been far from ideal for months. In the background several clubs are observing the situation ready to seize the opportunity to a player who knows the league well and pretty much guarantees goals and assists. Milan are the club interested above all, the source adds.
