AC Milan are still interested in the idea of signing RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano, according to a report.
The Rossoneri were linked with a move for Upamecano two years ago, while Manchester United and Arsenal have been credited with interest this year by a number of different outlets.
A recent report from Calciomercato.com though claimed that Milan are planning a bid for Upamecano next summer if Mattia Caldara’s return to action does not go as planned.
The France U21 international has not been a regular starter for Leipzig so far this season, making just three Bundesliga appearances.
According to an update from Calciomercato.com, Upamecano is on Milan’s shopping list for next summer.
Paolo Maldini and Zvonimir Boban are continuing to keep an eye on the player as a possible reinforcement for the defence, the report adds.
L’Equipe (via Sportsmole) recently claimed that Upamecano’s release clause is set to drop to €60m next summer unless a new deal is agreed, with Arsenal also interested.
