Hakan Calhanoglu returned to being decisive for AC Milan on the field as he netted the winner during last night’s victory over Fiorentina.
As Calciomercato.com writes, it was a fine goal that sealed a high-quality performance, one which went some way to silencing the criticism that has been aimed at him in the last few weeks especially with the renewal issue overhanging.
Months and months of negotiations regarding his renewal have not yet led to a signature, and with the days ticking by the scrutiny is increasing. Milan do not want to lose an important player on a free transfer and have put a considerable offer on the plate: a €4m net salary and contract until 2025.
Calhanoglu took the field personally in the negotiations during a direct meting with Massara and Maldini and during that the his will to stay with the Rossoneri was reaffirmed. A new meeting is expected by the end of the month between the management of the club and his agent Stipic, and the common hope is to reach a full agreement.
