There will be a crucial meeting on Wednesday between AC Milan and the agent of Hakan Calhanoglu regarding his renewal, a report claims.
With his contract expiring in June 2021, the Rossoneri really need to try and resolve his future before the January window opens, when the Turkey international would be free to agree a pre-contract with another club.
According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, the saga is about to enter the decisive phase as Calhanoglu’s agent Gordon Stipic will be Milan on Wednesday to meet the Rossoneri management.
The headlines in the media have been about the 26-year-old requesting a huge pay rise, but the report adds that Calhanoglu has given a mandate to his agent to lower the initial demands, which were €6m net per season.
Now, it is to be understood whether Milan will raise their offer, which at the moment is €3.5m including bonuses, with a compromise point that could be between €4-4.5m. To stay or to go, Milan and Calhanoglu will decide the future on Wednesday.
