CM: Chelsea defender has ‘fully convinced’ Milan – negotiations underway over €28m fee

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are desperate to keep Fikayo Tomori and sign him on a permanent deal from Chelsea with negotiations underway, a report claims.

Tomori arrived at Milan in January on a six-month loan from the Premier League side having struggled to get playing time in the first half of the season, and the Rossoneri managed to include an option to buy.

Given that the Englishman has settled in so well and is already an established member of the starting XI under head coach Stefano Pioli, virtually every major source is reporting that the management will look to keep him beyond the end of his loan spell and sign him on a permanent basis.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, Tomori has ‘fully convinced’ Milan. Directors Frederic Massara and Paolo Maldini are already at work trying to get a discount from Chelsea on the option to buy set at €28m.
