CM: Donnarumma leaning towards Turin as Juve offer €2m per season more than Milan – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

Juventus are serious about signing Gianluigi Donnarumma and he is one of the major targets ahead of the summer window, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, there are lots of doubts at Juve currently such as the futures of Agnelli, Paratici, Pirlo and many players, but one certaintyis the will to try hard to bring Donnarumma to Turin.

In order for the pursuit to become more concrete they will have to sell Wojciech Szczesny who is under contract until 2024 with a salary of over €7m net per season, but the Bianconeri have thrown their hat in the ring anyway.

Contacts with Mino Raiola – the agent of the 22-year-old goalkeeper – are continuous, and in recent weeks there have been movements with more than one visit by the player’s agent to the Piedmontese capital plus Agnelli and Paratici being present in Milano this week.

In the face of Milan’s renewal offer of €8m net per season, Juve’s counter-offer is €10m with a substantial commission also for Raiola. Donnarumma seems to be leaning towards Juventus at the moment, but it will be up to Juve to provide a concrete follow-up.

  1. I’m surprised by quite how naive Donnarumma is being. I would have thought that he’d be aware of how much ill-feeling this saga has generated among fans, and probably among his own team mates – but he seems completely blinded by the lure of money. This saga has really blighted the second half of a promising season for Milan.

He’s really being badly-advised, because the stench of this affair will haunt him for his entire career (and beyond). Get rid – and impose a strict wage cap (and a strict ban on Raiola players) for next year.
