CM: €30m Chelsea outcast puts offer from Crystal Palace on stand-by as he wants Milan

Tiemouè Bakayoko remains Milan’s first choice to further strengthen the midfield department but the negotiation is not proving to be easy.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri have indeed still got the Frenchman top of their list to complete a midfield which already boasts the trio of Franck Kessie, Ismael Bennacer and Sandro Tonali.

However, the report claims that the negotiation has slowed down in recent days because Chelsea have not backed down from their request that a €30m option to buy is inserted into the loan deal.

Bakayoko is pushing to return to the Rossoneri, and his agent is also working to change Chelsea’s stance. The feeling is that the deal can go through, but not in the short term.

There are still many details to settle and Milan now want to focus on the pitch first, with Thursday’s Europa League clash against Shamrock Rovers.

In the meantime, the 26-year-old midfielder has put a proposal from Crystal Palace on stand-by.
