Fiorentina have made AC Milan’s Lucas Paqueta their number one target to reinforce the midfield this summer, according to a report.
It has not been an easy season for the Brazil international who has fallen down the pecking order under Stefano Pioli amid reports back in January that he is struggling with life off the pitch and was pushing for a Milan exit.
According to Calciomercato.com however, Paqueta may be handed the opportunity to stay in Serie A and prove himself as Fiorentina have put him top of their wish list in terms of midfield targets for the summer.
The report claims that La Viola are ‘counting on closing the blow’ but, for the moment, do not intend to pay the €30million that the Rossoneri are requesting – a figure that would allow them to avoid making a loss on the balance sheet.
Milan invested €35-38m to sign Paqueta from Flamengo last January, depending on which outlets you believe.
