CM: Fiorentina want €65m clause inserting in striker’s deal as Milan and Juventus hover

Dusan Vlahovic has faded as a Milan target for now, but Fiorentina are working to make sure he doesn’t move there at all.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, Vlahovic and new Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Italiano’s relationship has started off well. The Serbian striker was able to get acquainted with the footballing philosophy of the former Spezia coach quickly and has been firing in goals in preseason.

Vlahovic now feels an integral part of Fiorentina’s project and has given an opening to negotiate the renewal of his contract expiring in 2023. The offer presented by Rocco Commisso is a raise from the current €400k net per season to €3m plus bonuses related to appearances and goals.

Therefore it seems highly likely that the 21-year-old will stay for another season at least, but Juventus and Milan are always monitoring him, especially in view of the future. The interest is still alive and strong for a deal that could become possible in 12 months.

That is why La Viola want a release clause inserting into his new deal, which in their ideas would be around €65m, and that would put them in a stronger position to negotiate with top clubs.
