AC Milan are working on outgoings as well as some potential signings to round off the window, but the days are ticking by and the end of the window is getting closer.
Calciomercato.com report that there are five cases that will make these last fourteen days of the transfer market at Milan even hotter, namely the potential departures of Alexis Saelemaekers, Divock Origi, Marko Lazetic, Fode Ballo-Tourè and Mattia Caldara, all of which are no longer part of Stefano Pioli’s plans.
Saelemaekers: Milan are grateful to the Belgian for what he has done in his years with the Rossoneri, and relations between the parties are excellent.
However, the winger has understood that with the arrivals of Pulisic and Chukwueze the space available is almost nil and he is waiting for the right offer to say goodbye, with a move to Spain or England possible.
Ballo-Toure: There is an ongoing negotiation with Werder Bremen, but at the moment it is stalled because there is still a gap between the offer put forward and Milan’s demands. The player’s agent is also probing possible alternatives.
Lazetic: The Serbian striker is very close to joining Fortuna Sittard on loan in the Dutch first division, who are winning competition from two German clubs and another Dutch one.
Origi: The most intricate case remains that of Origi who – despite the negative feedback from the club – would like to stay and redeem his disappointing first season.
The former Liverpool man has not yet opened up to the idea of a move to Saudi Arabia, and in the event of a farewell he would prefer to return to the Premier League.
Caldara: The defender’s agent Beppe Riso is trying to enter into negotiations with Verona but the salary he currently gets – around €3m net per season – has not allowed decisive steps forward.
