CM: Formula, Fonseca and Dovbyk – the latest as Moncada reopens Abraham talks

By Oliver Fisher -

As we head into August, AC Milan’s summer transfer window seems to have finally taken off and Tammy Abraham is once again being explored as a potential option.

Having closed the Strahinja Pavlovic deal, Calciomercato.com report that the management are working hard to try to close another two/three signings in the shortest time possible. The most important news concerns Abraham, who Geoffrey Moncada has reopened talks over.

Paulo Fonseca is the main endorser of the 27-year-old English striker, who is thinking about a new challenge in his career having had a difficult last year with Roma following a knee injury that kept him out for almost a year.

The excellent relationship between the Milan management and the Roof agency – who represent Abraham – remains a factor to be taken into great consideration.

The idea of adding a different and alternative solution to Alvaro Morata is gaining more momentum, with Fonseca picking Tammy as the favourite.

Roma are about to close a deal with Girona for the Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbyk and Milan are looking to use that to their advantage. The idea is to sign Abraham on loan with an option to buy with certain conditions.

Everton are also interested in Abraham, who gets a salary of €4.5m net per season in Rome. This is almost €5.9m gross considering the tax relief provided by the Growth Decree, and his deal runs until June 2026.

    1. Origi 2.0 is exactly how this feels.

BUT if we keep expectations low with TamTam, he is sure to exceed them. LOL!!!

      1. Yeah if teams aren’t gonna queue up for our unwanted backups then we shouldn’t help them out. Everyone knows Roma signing Dovbyk and for 35mn he’s their first choice.

Tammy is just a salary burden for them sitting on their bench. Leave him to Everton.

    1. With Giampaolo, in the first league match, we didn’t have one shot on target. I think Fonseca is better than that, in what we saw in Friendlies. But putting Pulisic as no 10, remind me of Giampaolo putting Suso in that position

    2. You know, how? Since the rest of us clearly don’t know yet.

The season isn’t start yet, the club has played 2 friendly and showed some promise. But yea, keep the negativity coming.

Every comment I read from you is literally stupid.

  1. This is another opportunistic low-ball attempt that is going to drag along and ultimately fail. Roma won’t give him up on a loan with option.

  2. I would rather have Fulkrug, but people making lazy comparisons with Abraham and Origi is just idiotic.
Origi average goal per season for his career is probably bellow 5 and only twice has scored 10 or more goals. Highest goal scoring output for Origi in his career was 11 (eleven).
Tammy has several years of scoring in high 20’s. He had a bad injury last year, but the previous 2 seasons in serie A he was very good. Especially in his 1st year when he had 27 goals under Mourinho.
Just say you don’t want Milan to sign Abraham. No need to make stupid and false comparisons with an actual trash player.
Loan with option to buy would be a great deal for Milan. Milan needs another striker that can lead the line by himself when Morata is unavailable.

      1. Another stupid comparison.
Tammy would be coming in to ba a backup, not to be the star signing presented in front of thousands fans at the Duomo.

  3. Prefer Fullkurg than Tammy, due to differences in their playing style.
I feel Fullkurg will fit better to our system.

  4. Would of been a good deal in my opinion before the injury now makes no sense.

Anybody else concerned regards Redbird still not paid Elliot there money?

Is there a chance Redbird walks away?

  5. Yeah, every striker in Europe is called milan target.. and the end they go fo morata. And now they also want tammy…
