CM: Fulham hoping to close deal for Milan defender but Bologna CEO confirms interest

By Oliver Fisher -

Fulham are pushing hard to complete the signing of Fodé Ballo-Touré but the competition from Bologna has been confirmed by their CEO.

According to what is being reported by Calciomercato.com, Ballo-Toure ‘is getting closer and closer to Fulham’ after the attempts from Bologna and OGC Nice in the last few weeks.

Nice never came forward with a suitable offer while the Rossoneri do not want to make a capital loss and are asking for €4m to sell the player outright, preferring that to any kind of loan formula.

One thing is certain: the Senegalese full-back is leaving Milan as he is no longer part of Stefano Pioli’s plans and has not been called up for the tour in the United States.

Meanwhile, Bologna are still trying their best to land him too. Their CEO Claudio Fenucci has spoken at their preseason retreat and was asked directly about interest in the ex-Monaco man.

“He is one of the hypotheses that we are carefully evaluating like others for that role,” he said.
