CM: Full-back set to return to Milan after unsuccessful loan spell

By Oliver Fisher -

Torino are unlikely to exercise their option to buy on Diego Laxalt, a report claims, meaning he will return to AC Milan at the end of the season.

The Uruguay international joined Milan from Genoa in summer 2018 but struggle for playing time aside from the Europa League and was allowed to leave this summer.

He joined Torino on a 12-month loan deal with the Granata possessing the option to purchase him outright at the end of the season, however Calciomercato.com claim that they are unlikely to exercise that at present.

The full-back, in fact, is struggling to find space in the current team under Walter Mazzarri despite some good performances when has been used.

Given the fact that Torino would have to pay €11.5m to sign him permanently, it is unlikely that they will pay an excessive fee for a player who at the moment cannot be considered a starter.
