CM: Furlani to try again for Chukwueze in meeting with Villarreal to close Danjuma deal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are expected to hold more talks with Villarreal today to try and close the Arnaut Danjuma deal, but will also try again for Samuel Chukwueze.

As Calciomercato.com report, Milan are looking to complete the midfield department with the increasingly probable arrival of Yunus Musah from Valencia but they are also shopping in Spain to try and fix the attack as well.

A very important meeting with Villarreal is scheduled for Wednesday in which they will speak about Chukwueze and Danjuma, the chose targets for the right winger and wild card roles respectively.

Milan know Danjuma very well and have followed him since his days at Club Brugge which is why they reacted positively when his agent offered his client to them.

Antonio D’Ottavio and Geoffrey Moncada consider the Dutchman an interesting option to give a quality alternative to Stefano Pioli in the left wing and striker roles, while CEO Giorgio Furlani is working to lower Villarreal’s €4m loan fee request.

For Chukwueze the road is more uphill, but Milan have not stopped trying for him. A substantial discount is needed from Villarreal who continue to ask for €35m, and Furlani will try lower that amount in talks today.

  1. If we get the two I’ll be really optimistic for the future.
The 4-3-3 needs a proper RW. Just pay them what they want for Chukwueze. We already made money from Tonali and we have at least 5 players left to sell.
Why miss this opportunity just to save a few million?

    1. If only we could sell the infamous foursome group: cdk, balo, origi, rebic. It would be much easier to get those fishes.

    2. pay them 35M for a dude that is on the last year of contract?
      pppppffffffffffffff
Id like to see you run a company, man

      1. Yeah. If they consider he’s worth the money, sure. I would.
Would you rather take him for 70 mil after he signes a new contract?
Would you rather sign a worse player who is not on his last year for 25 mil?

        1. If he signs a new one he can stay at villareal, wouldnt take him for 10M.
Yes. I’d raher sign a “worse” player for less than 20M.
Chukwueze is overrated by people on here. Lack of suitors confirms that.

          1. If you think he’s not good that’s another story. But your comment about him being in his last year doesn’t stand if Milan actually think he’s worth it, like many do, including Real Madrid.
            Time will tell.

          2. no i think he is better than what we have atm. but i dont think he is worth 35M€. I dont think he is worht 25M€. And yes. thats because of his contract. 20M is max anyone should pay for him. And no one is lining up to pay 35M that villareal is asking for him.. Nobody!
Just look at the f up situation of one Rice.. last year of contract and m0rons paid 110M€ for him.. he’s not even that good. Sh1t like that needs to stop

  2. Somehow I doubt that it will be easy to get rid of that surplus player by the end of the mercato. I think that Origi is probably the most eye-catching player! He blocks the forward position, has a huge salary and has shown absolutely nothing so far.

  3. Not really sure about that Danjuma. But he’ll come on loan first, so definitely less risk. And even more logical if Rebic leaves, so he’ll that Leao’s deputy role.

  4. Danjuma is an easy, low cost, decent replacement for rebic, like for like, he can play well the role that rebic was playing, challenge leao and giroud, back up in some games, game changer in others, starting others, rebic used to be very usefull that way, until last season

  5. These 2 players are a must buy. Danjuma and Chukwueze will make Milan title contenders again.

Moise Kean seems to be exiled from Juventus and his market value is 18-20m. That’s the striker we need to sign. Leao, Kean and Chukwueze would make our attack devastating.
