CM: Giampaolo to have final call as Kessie faces uncertain future

By Oliver Fisher -

Head coach Marco Giampaolo will decide midfielder Franck Kessie’s future at AC Milan, according to a report.

Kessie has not yet played in preseason under Giampaolo due to his international commitments with Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations.

He is due back into the fold shortly, but Calciomercato.com report that an ‘important period’ is on the horizon for the former Atalanta man.

Despite being the most used player over the last two seasons in terms of minutes played and appearances, Kessie’s future with the Rossoneri ‘remains uncertain’.

The report claims that the 22-year-old is a player who could be sacrificed in order for Milan to boost their mercato budget.

However, the decision on that appears to rest with Giampaolo, as the Rossoneri’s leadership ‘wants to give him time to evaluate the player’ before they make a call either way.

It was reported earlier in the summer that Milan would sell Kessie for offers above €30million, while Arsenal and Spurs have both been linked in the past.

  1. It would not be a results oriented for milan to sell kessie. If they should sell him who’s gonna play like he does. Milan should keep him cos he is a great player.
