In the last few days, Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyökeres star has been linked with a move to AC Milan. However, as per a report, the 25-year-old is not one of the top targets for the Rossoneri.
It has been a stunning season for Gyökeres, scoring 36 goals and assisting an additional 14, and several clubs are keeping an eye on him. Just this morning, Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Milan could make an attempt, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a decisive part.
According to Calciomercato.com, however, Gyökeres is not one of the top targets for Milan although the interest is real. Benjamin Sesko (RB Leipzig) and Joshua Zirkzee (Bologna) are currently at the top of the wish list, with evaluations on which to focus still ongoing.
Zirkzee obviously knows Serie A better and if Milan were to hire someone like Thiago Motta, presuming that Stefano Pioli leaves, he could be the perfect fit. On the other hand, the Bayern Munich clause makes the situation a bit more complicated.
With Sesko, Milan would perhaps have bigger chances of obtaining a discount, even if just a very small one. Furthermore, he’s more similar to Olivier Giroud in terms of his characteristics, while Zirkzee would change the Rossoneri’s way of playing.

I believe Watkins is too expensive and some one said Toney is “too old” and “too slow”.
And injury-prone too.
Sesko is terrible and overrated he missed 2 easy chances against Madrid. His level is only good enough for Bundesliga or weaker leagues.
i guess you should watch every minut of his gametime to be able to have that opinion. Until then, shush.
Talking about only 1 game, that was towards a very high lvl team, makes you look like an , well you get the idea, right?
The game was just an example look at his stats 7 goals in the Bundesliga so far. Milan needs a ready made striker or someone who has experience playing in Serie A. Look at Hojlund for example the first 3 month he had scored only one premier league goal only recently did he start finding his form. Sesko is still young and could become a great striker in the future but would he be able to peform in his first season? You would probably be the first one complaining. Milan needs a ready made striker who else will score the goals next season?
To be fair thats a truth with modifications in regard of højlund because he was also top scorer in cl in a badly peforming team.
that is 7 goals in 1003 minutes of gameplay. overall he has 34 appearances 11 goals 2 assist, 1532 minutes.. Giroud has 36 appearances 14 goals 9 assist, 2640 min.

Gyokeres is terrible and overrated, 2nd division striker last year and couldnt even score past Atalanta
He has more goals this season than Joao Felix ever had in that league…

It’s OK if you don’t like him and want a different striker, but his stats are impressive even for a Portuguese league.
Yeah 36 goals and 14 assists in 39 combined matches doesn’t sound to shabby to me either 😀 Even if the portuguese league isn’t as good as serie a its still some really impressive stats, i come to think of mario jardel when he was active playing in fc porto and sporting in the late 90ies and early 00s.
I doubt that Gyökeres is attainable to though but ill also gladly settle for sesko.
