CM: Ibrahimovic and Milan to continue for another year – the details including bonuses

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have reached a definitive agreement regarding a renewal for the striker until 2021.

After weeks of negotiations the happy ending always hoped for by Maldini, Gazidis and Raiola has arrived. According to Calciomercato.com, in the past few hours a meeting point has been found between the offer of Milan and the request of the Swede and Raiola, who remained at €7million net.

Thanks to the facilitations of the growth decree (a tax law in Italy to do with how long you have been employed there), the parties reached an agreement on the basis of €6million net plus €1m bonuses. There is widespread speculation that there is a €500k bonus included for if the Rossoneri reach the Champions League.

In the next few hours, therefore, Ibrahimovic will be back in Italy, ready to sign his contract and make himself available to head coach Stefano Pioli for preseason training which began on Tuesday after Monday’s COVID tests.
